Make your new PAS-M compatible with any amplifier, including solid state amps. Originally the PAS preamp was designed to work with high impedance amplifiers like the Dynaco 35, 70, MKIII, MKIV etc. The stock PAS needs to see an impedance load of 470K Ohms or higher. Most solid state amps and many modern tube amps are much lower. Trying to use the PAS with low impedance amps just doesn't work, it sounds terrible.  Even the PAS-3X was only good for use with amps of 150K ohms or higher.

Adding this impedance buffer module allows the PAS to overcome the impedance mismatch issue automatically.  No switches or adjustments are necessary. Simply hook up the buffer equipped PAS preamp to your amplifier and that's it. Now you can enjoy  using the PAS with a full range of amplifiers and get the performance and the sound that it's supposed to have.
